NANS Presidential Candidate, Sheriff Urges Buhari to Rebuild North East

As the fourth National Convention of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) draws closer, a presidential Candidate in the election, Comrade Sheriff E.E Zadok has called on the Federal Government to make hast in rebuilding the entire North East zone that has been battered by the Boko Haram insurgents.

He also called on the government to mount adequate Surveillance across the camps of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to guarantee their safety.

Comrade Zadok who made the appeal in Awka while interacting with journalists sympathised with Nigerian residents in the North East, especially Students and assured them that the Federal Government is determined in ending the activities of the Boko Haram in record time.

He opined that insurgents can be countered in Nigeria and globally through education and war of ideas by inculcating morality and harnessing the potentials of students in Nigeria tertiary institutions.

Sheriff, a student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka revealed that his campaign team had visited Maiduguri, Yobe, Gombe and Adamawa states to see the Nigerian Students in the area and promised to regularise the visit if given the mandate to lead the 41.1 million Nigerian students.

He promised not to derail on the premises on which the students apex body was founded, which according to him, was anchored on the basis of complimenting the efforts of the Nigerians leaders in advancing the  cause of the rapid and uniform socioeconomic and infrastructural development of the country.
