A stitch in time they say saves nine”, Okoro warned.
Impeccable source close to the Chief security officer of the town who did not want to disclose his name told our correspondent that youths of the town are trooping in, in their numbers and are being prepared for the impending war.
They alleged that seven people from Umabor community who shot some youths during the crisis were arrested and handed over to the Area Commander Nsukka Police Division but claim that the police released them on bail after few days.
Reacting to this development, the Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, Enugu State, DSP Ebere Amarzu told our correspondent the police is on top of the situation, assuring the two communities that no stone would be left unturned to unraveled the circumstances that led to the gruesome murder of the two young men.

We have been holding meetings with the stakeholders in the two communities and I want to re-assure them that police will not compromise their civil responsibility of enforcing peace law and order as well as security of the people under their watch.
On the allegation of release, he said he has not been briefed about that and as such there is nothing he will say about it for now.

He denied the allegation that one of the diseased was killed in as a result of rape related case, but rather said it was the report they received from the traditional ruler of Umabor Igwe Kavin Mamah.
His word “my brother you know I am an elected member of the Enugu State House of Assembly and I am avoiding anything that would make me to join any issue with the people in this matter because whatever I say will be given different meanings and interpretations.
What I assure my people is that I will do everything possible within my powers to ensure peace and unity in my constituency”.
All efforts to reach the traditional ruler of Umabor failed but a dependable source close to his Palace told our correspondent that since the incident happened he has not been seen anywhere around the town.
