Fear Grips Parents As Vigilance Operative Shoots 3 Students In Onitsha


 Palpable fear yesterday gripped parents of the Christ the King College, CKC, Onitsha, Anambra state, as one of the school's  security operatives, (names with held) reportedly shot three of the students on their legs.

The incident which occured on the visiting day of the  parents of the school, forced parents to scamper for safety with their children.

 Trouble reportedly started at about 3.30pm as one of the students was sharing some pieces of meat brought to him by his parents to his fellow students.

 On the process of sharing the meat, the security operative emerged from nowhere and started shootng at the students .

 Three of the students were shot on their legs by the  vigilance operative who some of the parents said may have gone crazy.

 Immediately after shooting the students he took to his heels  and was chased by tge senior students of the school bur was not caught as he scaled the school fence.

Acording to imppeccable school sources he  has just  about a week    in the  employ of the
 school.

 Efforts made to get the principal og the school, Rev Father  Charles Okwumuo to react could not yield dividend as he was not within reach as at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile the victims have been rushed to a nearby hospital  where theu were said to have been placed on danger list.
