Communities in AnambraState at war with their President's General over 1.5 million naira palliative fund giving to 177 Communities in Anambra State every year

Tension is persisting in communities in Anambra state following the rumour flying all overAnambra Communities, that their President's General have pocketed the 1.5 million naira palliative given to them for road  maintenance or other needs of their community by Governor Willie Obiano’s government.
They allegedly diverted the monies for their private use. While the President's General in the other hand, denied they did not receive such money neither cheque from Governor Willie Obiano.
We  also gathered that Anambra state Government  through the office of SSA on Town Union,Called on communities to renew their registration of Town union to enable them collect palliative from Government,which they did with #15,000 each.
Normally,palliative fund is been giving to every community on or before 25th of every November for maintenance of roads inside communities and according to PG's contacted on phone by our media, they said nothing have been given to them by the Government and they are still expecting it will come.
Former Governor of AnambraState ,Chief Peter Obi introduced  palliative to Communities with 1 million naira and another 1 million  naira for security maintenance to every community in Anambra, through the Town union.
The former administration , handed  this program  over to Governor Obiano for continuity as they promised to NdiAnambra during campaign. Governor Obiano in the spirit of continuity increased the palliative to 1.5 million naira with out given the 1 million naira for security,this was done during the commissioning of ASATU  office at Government House, last  November 25th.
Now people are worried that Obiano is going round dashing  political wards in Anambra State the sum of #500,000  naira each in the name of campaign promise,without considering the immediate needs of Anambra people, even though some of the Presidents General depended on it for their sustenance, hence the war over who becomes PG or Igwe is getting out of hands.
But some PG’s are saying that Obiano forgot that the worst politics he can play is to deny the communities their right as he promised and assured them. And  now the communities are no longer happy with the delay not to think of stopping it. Secondly the opposition will now use it as  a campaign strategy against  Obiano Government.
The ASATU National President , Dr JAP Okolo would not want to speak on the issue as according to him it is sensitive but ASATU is having a meeting tomorrow Saturday to review Obiano’s stand and the way forward.
