Ven. Benjamin Kenechukwu Ofili becomes inaugurated as Archdeacon Ichida Archdeaconry

 www.odogwublog.com reports exclusively that Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Awka, Right Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim PhD, has inaugurated Ven. Benjamin Kenechukwu Ofili as the Archdeacon, Ichida Archdeaconry amidst pomp and pageantry.
In his sermon to mark the inauguration at St Simon’s Anglican Church Ichida, Anaocha local government area, Bishop Ibezim challenged the priests and their wives as well as other workers in that Archdeaconry to place God first and evangelize through every good relationship possible including hospital visits and home prayer sessions.
He warned against unnecessary petitions, back biting and witch hunt from the laity against the clergy and encouraged the clergy to be at peace with the laity through transparent and accountable acts devoid of suspicion.
He further warned against division, lawlessness, greed , pride and jealousy that has taken over the world in the Church of God but proper and well laid out visitations, fellowship with one another for Bible study , healing and deliverance as well as true evangelism.
At the inauguration, Bishop Ibezim said Ofili’s wife and Vice President of Mother’s Union, Mother’s Guild and Girl’s Guild , Nneora Nkiru Ofili is one of the best Vicar’s wife he has ever seen and the best in Awka diocese sequel to her total support to her husband.
‘’The Vicar’s wife, Nkiru Ofili is a good Vicar’s wife. She is wonderful. She has a good heart. I pray God to continue to bless her and her husband’s ministry.
‘’Venerable Benjamin Kenechukwu Ofili is a one man riot squad and anywhere there is work, send Ofili and have results. He understands his ministry and he is doing well. The altar here is one of the best in the diocese.
Ofili and wife have done a good work in Ichida. They have transformed this place from Poultry Home to a magnificent ‘Cathedral’ worthy of worship of God. They are working with trust and that’s why we are challenging them with more work because faithfulness, dedication and stewardship with accountability have its rewards. This is because any relationship without trust cannot stand.
The Churches under the Archdeaconry are parishes in Ichida and Akwaeze including St Simon’s Church Ichida; St John’s Church Ichida and St Bartholomew Church, Ichida and those of Akwaeze Parish included St George’s Church Akwaeze and St Andrew’s Church, Akwaeze.
He said Ichida has the best compound in Awka diocese and commended Ofili and wife for the marvelous transformation.
In their address read by Chairman Publicity Committee , Sir Augustine Ezepue , the new Ichida Archdeaconry said they were aware of the enormous responsibilities awaiting them as the new Archdeaconry is purely for evangelism but called for moral and financial support to tackle its challenges of evangelism. They described new Archdeacon Ven Benjamin Ofili as a great motivator as he contributed much to the success of the Archdeaconry inauguration.  
Ibezim was accompanied by wife and President of Mothers Union, Mothers Guild and Girl’s Guild diocese of Awka , Mrs Martha Chioma Ibezim and legal officers of the diocese.
