NYCN tasks Buhari on ambassadorial appointments

National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to remember the youths during his ambassadorial appointments that may be coming up soon. The group said since the president did not consider younger men during his ministerial appointments, it would be fair to consider “younger men who are more energetic to carry out various tasking national assignments.” This is even as they reechoed their support for Buhari’s anti-corruption campaign.
In a statement signed by its National Vice-President (South-East), Comrade Nnonyelu Williams Onyibor and made available to newsmen, the group described the youths as “the fulcrum for societal growth which cannot be ignored.”
“The truth remains that the younger people have the intellectual capacity, physical ability and willpower to carry out national assignments very diligently. It is very important to get the youths involved in the nation building because the future of this country lies on their shoulders. We therefore plead with our amiable president to consider these facts during his ambassadorial and other appointments. We have before now resolved to join forces with the president in his anti-corruption campaign which we believe will sanitize our society for good” the statement partly read.
