A young man identified as Eteobong, believed to be in his 20s, has been reportedly butchered and his corpse dumped in a waste bin at Edgerly Street in Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State.
According to eyewitnesses, the sight had attracted a large crowd of onlookers who thronged the scene to catch a glimpse of the bizarre act with many believing he was a victim of a cult rivalry which is rampant in the area.
It later turned out that the young man was a youth who resided at the Edibe-Edibe area of the town and his family was alerted and his body was later removed by his parents.
Sources who think the young man was killed in a cult related attack, fear there may be reprisal attacks in the area anytime from now.
