Another baby factory discovered in Anambra

                                      
Operatives attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), of the Delta State Police Command, have stormed the hideouts of suspected child traffickers in different locations across the southern parts of the country where some pregnant teenage girls and infant babies were rescued from the baby factories.

Among those arrested was a man and his wife, Chidiebele Udeagbala and Nkiru, said to be the ring leaders in the trade. The trail of the traffickers took the police to Akwa Ibom State where Ekaete Sunday, Etieno Mary Bassey, Stella John and Esther Ezekiel. The suspects then led police to Onitsha in Anambra State, where another prime suspect, Mary Bassey Okon was arrested.

Two of the pregnant teenagers rescued were Nancy Atume and Chidimma Johnson, both 18 and two babies who were rescued from the Akwa Ibom syndicate.

In Onitsha, a pregnant girl identified as Chidimma, and six babies, ranging between the ages of one and five, were rescued.

Parading the suspects in the Delta State Police Command Headquarters in Asaba, the Commissioner of Police, Alkali Baba Usman, disclosed that a senior police officer led the police investigating team to Akwa Ibom, where four prime suspects were caught where they had confessed to their parts in the crime.

According to the CP, the suspects said the two pregnant girls were directed to them to enable them nurse their pregnancies to full term before selling the babies to the highest bidder
