SURE ANCHOR Microfinance Bank begins services in Nnewi

www.odogwublog.com reports that Sure Anchor Microfinance Bank Ltd, a pet project of the Anglican Diocese of Amichi yesterday commenced operations to serve the banking public in Anambra state better.
 Chairman of the committee on the establishment of Microfinance Bank in the Diocese of Amichi, Dr. Ugochukwu Nzewi said the public can now come in for business.
According to Dr. Nzewi who is also the Chairman Board of Directors of the bank, banking operations officially commenced on Monday October 13, 2015.

In a brief ceremony at the Bishop’s court, Amichi, the committee led by its chairman made an official presentation of the certificate of approval from the CBN to the proprietor of the Microfinance Bank and Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Amichi, His Lordship, The Rt. Rev'd. Ephraim Ikeakor.

Making the presentation, Dr. Nzewi observed that it was a tedious and challenging process but is happy the result was achieved.
His words: "The committee is pleased to have been considered by His Lordship for this sensitive assignment. It was not easy for us but we are glad success has been recorded. The difficulties and challenges encountered are secondary to us. It would have been a different story if we had failed. I wish to thank my lord Bishop for all the support and prompt attention he gave to us in the course of our assignment". He said.
Speaking further, Dr. Nzewi former Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, notified the Bishop that the committee has officially communicated the Central Bank of Nigeria to the effect that banking activities have commenced.
He hinted that arrangements are in top gear for preparations for the official opening ceremony.
In his response, the Bishop, Rt. Rev'd. Ephraim Ikeakor thanked the Chairman and members of his committee for a job well done.
According to the visibly elated bishop, Dr. Nzewi and the rest members of the committee deserve huge commendations for their doggedness and promptness in pursuing the Microfinance bank project.
Bishop Ikeakor’s reaction: "You made all the sacrifices to get this job done in record time. We thank you for your commitment and God will surely bless you in abundance. The journey has just started and on our part as a diocese, we will ensure that w keep doing the right things to sustain this vision".

Bishop Ikeakor directed the clergy to mobilize their parishioners for massive participation at the bank's official opening ceremony slated for Friday October 23, 2015.
