Jos Assembly determines to partner govt on development


                                                           
Member, representing Jos East in the Plateau State House of Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Ethics, Joshua Izang Madaki, has pledged  to partner with his colleagues  in putting the interest of the state first by ensuring that it moves to a level of pride among other States.

He made this statement to journalists after the House resumed from its six weeks recess .

Hon madaki said that both the PDP and APC lawmakers have been working together to ensure stability in the House.

According to him , the only time we had disagreement in the House was during local government crisis, when we took our stands as APC members in support of their removal.

He also condemned the incessant killings going on in some local government area and called on the government to do more in putting an end to the evil  act as it has hindered the state from attaining so many
things.

Speaking on his one hundred days in office,Hon madaki said that as a legislator, the past 100 days in office have  been quite eventful and commendable as so many activities and bills
have been passed, sent or are in various stages of reading .

Hon Madaki said that his constituency, Jos East, he had been able to attract agricultural firms that would  invest in agriculture and eventually
create employment. ‘On the last sallah ,il distributed over 100 bags of rice and N100,000 to accompany it for the sallah celebration,empowering of youths, widows and the less previllaged. As a legislator ,my doors are always opene to people from my constituency to reach me at all times, irrespective of my schedule as long as it has to do with issues affecting lives, because, my people voted massively for me and I  would not want to disappoint them in any way.’

Hon Madaki called on the people to be patience with them and expect a rebost and effective legislation as the house resumes for business. He also used the occasion to congratulate the people of plateau and Nigeria for attaining 55 years of independence.
