Idemili Chairman cautions on moral value

Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area,  Prince Henry Ezenwa, has enjoined teachers and parents to inculcate sound moral values in their children who are future leaders of Nigeria.
    Prince Ezenwa said this while presenting his address on the occasion of the 55th Independence Day Anniversary of Nigeria at Idemili South L.G.A Headquarters, Ojoto.
    ‘We should begin early to inculcate sound moral values in our children who are our future leaders. We should avoid being used or allow our children to be used as thugs or indulge in some unwholesome activities and other social vices’, he said.
Ezenwa said that in line with the vision of our great heroes like Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Belewa, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Anthony Eneharo, and several others, Nigerians should be determined to serve the people honestly, diligently and to the best of our ability.
    “I must not fail to pay full respect to our founding fathers. Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Belewa, Sir. Ahmadu Bello, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Micheal Okpara, Chief Anthony Eneharo, Herbert Macaulay and several others for their great wisdom and foresight in fighting to bring into being an independent Nigeria’, he said.
 Ezenwa said that current efforts at rebranding, cleaning and reshaping the battered image of Nigeria through President Buhari’s Anti-corruption programme should be supported by all.
    “As our contribution to the programme, we should learn to do things right at all times. Be honest and sincere in all your dealing. Be patriotic bearing in mind that the interest of the country and state is more than any personal interest” he said.
    Moreover, the executive chairman urged everybody to support the present state Government of Chief Willie Obiano and its five cardinal pillars currently touching the lives of Anambrarians.
    Highlights of the occasion were the march past by various Nursery, primary and Secondary schools from both private and public sector.
