Confusion in Anambra as Obiano battles Iloh over markets

www.odogwublog.com reports that there is tension between the Awka South local government area chairman , Chief Azubuike Iloh and the Anambra state Government led by Governor Willie Obiano over levies collection in markets in Awka capital territory.

Public Service Announcement : Regulation of Markets in Anambra State !!!

The attention of the Anambra State Government has been drawn to a recent public announcement by the Chairman of Awka South Local Government Council purporting to have the approval of the State Government to commence the verification/revalidation of market stalls/shops in Awka South Local Government Council especially in Eke Awka Market, Uwakwe Ukaegbu International Market Umuokpu, Eke Amawbia Market etc....

The general public and the traders in these various markets are hereby enjoined to completely disregard this erroneous announcement.

For the avoidance of any doubt, it is pertinent to remind the general public and particularly all the traders that the general administration and regulation of markets is currently under the purview of the State Government.
