Anambra Judiciary Workers embark on fresh strike from tomorrow

Judicial activities will paralyzed in Anambra State on Monday as the State chapter of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), has concluded its plans to embark  on industrial action.

JUSUN, who through a circular signed by officials of the union and pasted throughout the state judicial offices on Friday, cautioned members to stay at home to avoid been embarrassed.

Confirming this in a telephone interview, the State Chairman of JUSUN, Comrade Mark Ifezue said that the strike action was necessitated by the Anambra State government failure to address the issues of Consolidated Judiciary Salary Structure.

However, speaking to newsmen some members of the union, mostly the newly employed, accused the Chairman of been self serving and inconsistence, because according to them, rather to ensuring that their unpaid August salaries are been paid, the Chairman is insisting on industrial action for his selfish ambition.

It was discovered that none of the new staff of the judicial commission had received their remuneration for the month of August.

This, Comrade Ifezue in an interview with our reporter refuted as untrue insisting that the government is not owing any of the workers, just that Governor Willie Obiano’s administration is yet to implement the issues of Consolidated Judicial Salary structure earlier agreed upon.
