Obi Versus Obiano, in the spirit of the celebration by Tobenna Obiano

Peter Obi is not a saint, yet with Obiano in the line, I guess in weighing both men and placing a balance with subtle comparison, Obi is saintly.
Over the years, Mr. Peter Obi had been known as a resounding success in business and management generally. He had remained resolute and as well distinguished himself as a mogul of sort.
Peter is practically an economist and so, had grown himself to a height many had dreamt of, others had not gotten to and many might never reach.
He had achieved a lot in the field of business. He also is one individual from the private sector who his colleagues are usually and mostly proud of his numerous accomplishments and variant successes.
Spit it out, he is a billionaire in whatever standard of measurement. To buttress the fact, a super rich had told me personally that Peter Obi ranks amongst the richest in the entire of South-East and infact Nigeria too as a nation. Just as the West has Tinubu, so also do we have Obi.
Now, Peter Obi the entrepreneur turned politician had succeeded in so many businesses. He is successful even in governance or politics; an astute manager of people, resources and events.
To the end, Peter might have never lost a lot in business, yet I am sure that Peter Obi today would be an unhappy man. His greatest of every failure might be bringing up, insisting and in fact persisting on Anambrarians to vote in his political son; yes political son and former banker at Fidelity as Governor. (Spare me the age differential issue).
The convincing or do I say deceiving of Anambrarians to massively support Obiano as a product of Obi was the latter’s gravest misdoing. He lost it and Anambrarians also lost out. In this particular business, this latest one on his then candidate as Anambra Governor, his ship loaded with containers of goods capsized.
Nearly two years down the line and we are held with the allegation of many sorts, while in truth, that aside the new Anambra anthem which I must commend them and as well say is quite superlative and then the three magnificent and state of the art flyovers under construction through the city of Awka, absolutely nothing serious is happening in the state. We hear of Memorandum of Understanding or MOU signed on a daily basis, we hear of 15% increment in workers’ salaries, over a hundred percent gains in internally generated revenues with taxation hike up to be celebrated as an order of the day. It's all money matter and champagne things. Some even query if the Governor is that of Anambra State or solely Governor of Aguleri. Is APGA a generalised party or an Aguleri front? Nnukwu nsogbu dikwa, there is serious trouble.
I have not seen anyone deny in clear terms and openly that Obi did not leave behind in savings for the state, in monies and asset, a whooping N75billion naira!
Streets of Anambra is, or actually a week to the inauguration of the new Government till this day, littered with the inscription, 'Willie Is Working' as a brand signature everywhere; even when they employ people to sweep the road or they are closing up a pothole. I dare ask, is that to serve as a reminder or was he not actually voted to work? I am lost actually.
And I don't want to discuss the first lady, but if the sad tales about her excesses are anything to go by as founded and true, if not monitored and controlled, war looms ahead.
I bought into Obi's tales about his political godson, I was proudly supportive. I gave in my time, treasure and talent to the success. I do not like regretting any stand I bravely took, yet I am having serious doubts and cause to put up a regret.
For clarity sake, Willie Obiano in surname reading and I, Tobenna Obiano share the same surname, yet I am compelled to speak up at this time of great complexity for posterity sake. I would make him a personal letter hoping he buys into sane and sound advice. I write on a personal ground please.
2017 or is it 2018 is in two years or so, let's get our voter's card ready. Time flies naa.
Happy 60th birthday anniversary my Governor, and as you would prefer to be addressed, 'The Willingly Working Willie, Akpokue-Global'. Hearty cheers!
Let me pulse!
