www.odogwublog.com reports that 8 - year old Miss Chinagozim Ozumba, a primary three pupil of Amamife Basic School, Awka has won a set of educational materials from the Anambra Broadcasting Service following her success in the Radio Spelling Bee competition organized by the station on Saturday, August 15, 2015.
While handing over the materials to little Miss Chinagozim who was accompanied to the station by her mother, Mrs Eucharia Ozumba, the Managing Director and CEO of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Uche Nworah praised her for her brilliance and encouraged her to work hard in school to achieve her ambition of becoming a medical director.
He enjoined other parents to encourage their children to participate in the station's Spelling Bee programme which comes up every Saturday by 11am on ABS 1 FM 88.5.
Executive Assistant to Governor Obiano, Ejike Anyaduba and popular blogger, Emeka Odogwu Emeka, who witnessed the prize presentation, advised students to be wary of the danger of mobile text and chat language which is becoming popular among the youth as it could impact on their formal writing skills.
They praised ABS for introducing the Spelling Bee competition on radio as that would help improve the language and spelling skills of students.
