Management has observed with dismay the alarming rate at which some non-teaching staff engage in wanton lateness to duty, loitering during office hours and departure before official close of work.

The foregoing situation makes it imperative for all staff to be reminded that the official work hours in all public offices including Nnamdi Azikiwe University are 8.00am to 4.00pm.

In order to maintain discipline and decorum in our system, Management has decided that in addition to the existing Attendance Registers, Movement Registers shall, henceforth, be provided and strictly operated in all Offices/Departments/Units of the University under the custody and supervision of the respective Heads/Immediate Supervisors.

All staff who may have cause to leave the office briefly for genuine reasons should in addition to obtaining permission from their Immediate Supervisors, sign the Movement Register indicating time of leave and time of return.

Heads of Departments/Units are directed to ensure that the above decisions of Management are enforced as they would be held responsible for continued dereliction of this onerous duty of maintaining high work tone in the system
