Obiano disturbed by insecurity in Anambra state, reveals Commissioner of Police

www.odogwublog.com reports that Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state, it has been revealed is the most worried person in the state whenever any crime is recorded in Anambra state no matter how infinitesimal the crime committed was.

State Commissioner for police , Hosea Hassan Karma disclosed this when the  leadership of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Anambra state council led by Comrade Henry Nwasike , the state chairman paid him a courtesy visit in his office at Amawbia.

Karma who was with all his top ranking officers said he has never seen a Chief Executive worried for his people’s safety like Governor Obiano who at any infinitesimal crime calls him worried on why police allowed the crime.

‘’I must give credit to this Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, although the previous Government of (Chief Peter Obi) started it but he has kept faith. He has done well and he really love his people and is doing everything possible to reduce crime to its barest minimum. The Governor gets worried if a handset or a handbag was snatched from a market woman in Onitsha and calls immediately to know why police allowed it to happen. ……’’

The Anambra police Commissioner assured the state of his resolve to ensure security is tight for all to enjoy and commended Governor Willie Obiano for his commitment and dedication to fighting crime in the state. He re-assured police will not cover up evil and commended NUJ for being selfless in performing its duties unlike others pursuing monetary gains.

He urged Anambra NUJ to continue to partner with the police for a better society as the police under him is ready to accept any fault and remedy it and receive commendation when the need be. He however wished the NUJ well for their support so far since he assumed duties and prayed for more collaborative ventures to nip crime in the board. He said his doors are open for 245 hours for members of the NUJ to access information. 



Earlier in his remarks , the Anambra state NUJ Chairman, Comrade Henry Nwasike commended the Anambra CP for his diligence in policing Anambra and urged him not to relent as Anambra though tough, is a test ground for great men in police force. He informed that NUJ will continue to partner his office for a crime free Anambra state.

In a vote of thanks, the financial secretary of the NUJ, Anambra state, Comrade Ngozi Obi-Chukwuma re-assured the Commissioner of police of the unions support but encouraged him to be resolute in other to eliminate all forms of crime and abuse of office by either his men or those who are associates of the police for a better society.
