Mom beats, stabs young son

This disturbing photo is making the rounds on social media where a concerned resident at 11, Olawoyin Street, Kollington, Alagbado, a suburb of Lagos State, posted on yet another child brutality.

But this time around, it was a mother who beat up her young son who could not be more than eight years, after he was terrible beaten up by his own mother. Not satisfied with just beating the poor boy, she picked up a knife and stabbed him.

The badly injured boy was rescued by neighbours while the case was reported to the Ebenezer Police Station located in the area.

We gather that the mother has been arrested while the boy has been handed over to welfare officers while investigation is going on into the circumstances that could have led to such child abuse.

What should be done to such a mother?
