Son of a first class traditional ruler in Delta State, Prince Victor Efeizomor has been appointed as one of the
media aides to the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
Prince Efeizomor who is the state correspondent of This Day newspaper, would work closely with the Communications Manager, Mr. Jackson Ekwugum as the governor’s Press Secretary (Print).
His father, His Royal Majesty, Emmanuel Efeizomor, II is the Obi of Owa Kingdom, the homestead of the governor.
Also appointed as Press Secretary (Broadcast) is Ameachi Udemba, a former correspondent of Channels Television while Mr. Jonathan Onwuka, who reports for Ika-Weekly Newspapers and Anioma Watch was appointed as Press Secretary (Community Newspapers).
Mr. Udemba reportedly joined politics in the state shortly after he resigned his position as Channels correspondent following his redeployment from the state during the early days of former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan in 2007.
He was later appointed as media aide to the state Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Anthonia Ashiedu who also relieved him of the appointment in 2013 following perceived political differences in the build-up to the governorship primaries of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
