Enugu police arrest suspected kidnappers, cultists

ENUGU State Police command  have, through the operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad and

Anti-kidnap unit arrested notorious cult suspects who have been terrorising innocent citizens in Emene near Enugu.     

  The suspects  identified as Chika Nnamani alias Oil, Joseph Aroh alias Ex-dallar, and Benson Onyeka alias 2pac were arrested in Emene on a tip-off.

   The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ebere Amarizu said the suspects were assisting the operatives in their investigations and they have confessed to be strong members of BAGA Confraternity, group that have been terrorizing citizens of Emene and its environs,

  Suspects on their own have regretted every bit of their action blaming the situation to act of devil and prayed for God’s forgiveness.

  Similarly, operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) have nabbed a notorious cultist that has been terrorizing residents of Ogui and its environs.

  The suspect identified as  Owoh Frankline alias Fabulous was nabbed based on the close monitoring by the intelligence gathered about him and his nefarious activities.

  Frankline Owoh as he identified himself was nabbed on at Ani street within Obiagu axis of Ogui in Enugu  clashes amongst rival cultists in recent times which has resulted to several injuries and deaths and he is now helping the operatives in their investigations.

  On his part, the suspect maintained that he is not an armed robber but a cultist belonging to Junior Vikings Confraternity(JVC) and whose duty was to carry out some related executions involving his group and other groups by using dangerous weapons devoid of guns and pointed out that he has been a good boy since he

graduated from the most respected religious based school in Enugu where he came out successfully in 2010 but added that he joined the cult group in the same year after graduation when he was humiliated by one cultist identified as Awilo who is also in the wanted list of the operatives.

  After my humiliation I have to join cult to avenge my course although there is no benefit. If you people leave me, I will be a changed person and will never go back to cultism,' he said.
