www.odogwublog.com reports that tension and apprehension best describes the mood at the Anambra state Executive council as Governor Willie Obiano releases names of sacked Commissioners Monday morning. Nobody is sure whose name is included but information filtered out appears authentic.

 Reports reaching Odogwublog indicates that there is confusion among the Commissioners since Thursday Obiano pencilled down six commissioners to be sacked and sent new ones to the state House of Assembly which the House equally confirmed but one Mr Mark Okoye, 29 plus years old , who has served as SA since former Governor Peter Obi on investment.

In Obiano’s cabinet , an SA and a member of Igwe Enweozor Anambra state investment and promotion committee attracting investors. Mr Okoye is seen to be good and sound and would return by June this year when he would be 30 years old for confirmation. The father was a former Minister and mother an Executive Director of one of the leading Banks in Nigeria and had aspired for senate under PDP.

Others shortlisted  and cleared are Current speaker of the house of Assembly , Princess Chinwe Nwebili even in absentia , Mr Afam Mbanefor , Dr Mary Nwogu and Mrs Gladys Uzoamaka Ilobi as well as Mr Frank Offor.

As at Sunday afternoon , the list of the sacked commissioners are being hoarded from the preying eyes of the press but an insider said Hon Azuka Enemuo will be replaced by Speaker of the Anambra state House , Chinwe Nwebili. Nwebili’s son is said to be a Special Assistant to Obiano but could not confirm this.

Aside Azuka Enemuo to be replaced by Nwebili ,others pencilled down for sack allegedly include Commissioner for Information, Tony Onyima , Commissioner for Works Tony Ilozumba , Commissioner for Sports , Tony Nnacheta or so and commissioner for Agriculture , Chief Mekoh as well as Commissioner for Women Affairs , Dr Nkechi Chikwelu.

Barring any last minute change of mind by the Governor , the list has been confirmed by an inside who will not like to be named as she is not authorized to speak to the press.

‘’ The Governor is not happy with some commissioners and Special Assistants and Special Advisers and while relieving commissioners of their post , he would announce some of the SA’s on Monday. But, unless something happens because there is a lot of lobbying now on behalf of some people and he may not just sack them if compromise is reached as they would quietly undergo orientation and the outgoing commissioners hand over before June……………..but the way he wanted to do it is to sack them at the Exco on Monday and announce portfolio for the new ones while Mark would be deferred till June.

She said , ‘Iloh will take over Ministry of Women Affairs,  Nwogu for Works , Offor for Agriculture , Nwebili for Local government , Mbanefor for sports , while Okoye Mark goes for Utilities.

There was a swap in the ministry of Utilities and another ministry probably Transport Ministry recently.
