attacked , that he was indeed attacked and the first news published that Ubah escapes assassination attempt was correct.

Our attention have been drawn to the above story published by some media houses today hence there is need to put things in the right perspective.

We can confirm that the incident happened and it is a subject of intense investigation by security agencies to unravel those behind it and their motives. For that reason we shall give limited response for now in other not to jeopardize the ongoing investigation. We shall however give a detailed briefing at the appropriate time.

This incident calls for a sober reflection and concern by all Nigerians about the safety and security of lives in the country. The fact that it happened in the Federal Capital Territory makes it more worrisome.
