yesterday received the reaction of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Abuja
over its story on the sack of over 300 staff.
The Corps in a letter to www.odogwublog.com signed by ACC Udensi O
OJI as well presented its side of the story and confirmed it paid the
staff on election duty based on money available to them.
It said too that those sacked were to sanitize the
corps.

Our
attention has been drawn to your piece titled “Road Safety Sack over 300 Staff
as Fraud rocks FRSC over Election Duties” on your blog; www.odogwublog.com dated 13th
April, 2015.
2. The story is obviously from some aggrieved
staff sacked for operational misconduct, extortion, touting and other
malpractice. The FRSC will continue to sanitize the system as it would not
tolerate indiscipline amongst its staff in addition to meting out appropriate
sanctions to staff who indulge in practices that are inimical towards achieving
set goals for motor vehicle administration in Nigeria. The Corps would continue
to discipline such culprits in line with the FRSC Regulations on Maintenance of
Discipline.
3. On election duty allowances, all staff
were paid in line with available fund.
4. We however, advise that the blog should
restrain from being used by some people to attack the Corps unjustifiably,
rather the blogger should always ascertain his facts before publication as our
legal team is already studying the publication.

ReplyDeleteAS FAR AS SECURITY PERSONNEL IS CONCERN THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE TREATED EQUALLY WITH THE AVAILABLE FUND THAT WAS GIVEN TO EACH SECURITY ORGANIZATION BASED ON THEIR STAFF STRENGTH, IF FOR EXAMPLE POLICE CONSTABLE COLLECTED 15,000 RESPECTIVELY AND IN FRSC OFFICERS WERE PAID JUST 4,000 NAIRA PER ELECTION, HOW IS THIS JUSTIFIABLE? THERE IS NEED FOR TOTAL OVERHAULING IN FRSC (FROM THE TOP)
ReplyDeleteit is very unfortunate for an elite organization that claimed to be certified by ISO fail on its mandate to cater for the welfare of their staff,thereby indulging in corrupt practices and forcing Staff not to operate with a bank of their choice and imposing Safeline Micro-finance Bank on the Staff that join from 2011 till date, this so called bank only have a branch in Abuja.if you are having issues you will be compelled to travel to Abuja to rectify the issue by risking ones life.am very sure 100% of the staff banking with safeline wanted to leave but they are being denied of the freedom.instead, the bank has the guts to impose loan of laptops on Staff by charging triple amount of the laptop and Staff at point of entry were compelled to buy it whether they have a laptop or not#CORRUPTIONEATSDEEPLYINTHEELITECORPS
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed unfortunate and laughable to read the Corps' response in respect of the election duty allowances to staff. The obvious truth is that the whole issue is a complete fraud. There is no justice in the way and manner the allowances were distributed. My dear parrot, ACC Udensi, you did say the Corps paid the allowances based on the available funds! Is it supposed to be based on available funds or provided funds? FRSC staff on elections duty were exposed to equal security risks as other sister security agencies; some were even posted to far away polling units farther than what #2,000 could carter for yet they selflessly carried out that task for a reward of a worthless commendation letter. Meaning:'Monkey dey work, BABOONS dey CHOP!!!' I think it is only justifiable if the Corps realizes the worth of its workforce and adequately give it what it deserve. ACC Udensi, HOW MUCH IS AVAILABLE FUND? The earlier staff are paid what they deserve, the better for the system. Otherwise, staff would one day recreate the Police scenario of the Musiliu Smith's era. What is good for the GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER! So, where is justice when an ordinary staff, a 'hoi polloi', 'extorts' and the blue book is read to him and he is sacked but conversely, when the same ordinary staff is being extorted by the system he serves, he is forced to swallow the bitter pills without complaining!!! #NOTOINJUSTICEINFRSC
ReplyDeleteI am in the system and the speaker is not reflecting the truth of the issue at all.FRSC has about 20,000 staff strength which means we can share more compared to what was given to other organizations.but in our case it s up side down. The present administration of frsc is worse than that of OSITA'S.WHAT WE PRAY FOR NOW IS MERGER WITH POLICE SO THAT OUR LIFE CAN BE AT LEAST MEANINGFUL. Every day is underground sacking of FRSC staff by the COMACE and still nothing has been done by the senate we call our own.....

U want marger with police so that u can institutionalize your rogger.. . I know that those calling for marger are new staff who never served under police. How can you compare your duties on election exercise as same with police and demanded to be paid same... if i may ask... can ACC lead a sergent or give order to a police constable on election duties... ? Y not keep mute and thank God for the provision... someone said in 2011 he was compelled to buy laptop... y not thank God that u are credit worthy..... some of ur mate u graduated together are fasting and praying to get what u have today. Y do u always pull down a system that u know little or nothing to contribute if u are given same opportunity.... when Osita was there... u cried out that he was not doing enough... this is a new govt... you have not even allowed it to take off b4 asking for marger.... i pity u... because u may see less cash flow in the new incoming govt. Apart from this do you know that the new recruits of the commission who left orientation camp yesterday were forced to sign for #25,000 and given #17,000...tell me where the huge amount(#8,000) slashed from each head goes to. Federal Road Safety commission or Federal road safety CORRUPTION?
I am laughing in Latin language now. Mr Defender may be one of the culprits in the system and only God will reward them. You always beat us and said we should not talk because that office is your father’s house. You will just wake up and decided to sack staff for no just cost. You embezzled our money and nothing is said about it. If you think you know what you are saying, then tell us what happened to KB Lawal’s Case (DCM) when he was a Zonal commander in Lagos state. He demanded for 1m from all the whole unit commanders in Lagos state, when commander Chidi Nkwota (CC) the then Sector Commander of Lagos state exposed the act, they said he should be crucified. What was the outcome of that case till date, only for us to hear that he was promoted to Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM). Who is deceiving who? I have never seen any Para-military organization mandating their staff to join Abuja corporative scheme they cannot have access to their money. What a corps is this? We also pray that a serving member of the corps should take over the seat of COMACE, hoping that he will understand and care for our welfare but he is worse than others before him. Tell me; is there any bank in Nigeria call Safe line microfinance bank? You said you are ISO certified, why can’t you follow the Civil service rule in promoting the staff? Remember the slogan “we say, we do” but why do you not follow that slogan when it comes to staff welfare and promotion? The only agenda you have for us is: Sack; recruit unlawful and replace with people. You don’t have any good agenda for us. I believe that Senate knows all these things but they are reluctant to say anything because they have been bribed or brainwashed.

He should tell us what he has done since he resumed office. If corruption should be fought, it should start from the OGAS AT THE TOP.
THE CORUPTION IN FRSC IS BEYOUND WHAT HITS THE COMMON EYE. THERE IS A MICROFINANCE BANK OWNED BY THE PRESENT MINISTER OF FINANCE OSITA CHIDOKA (FORMER CORPS MARSHALL) THAT COMPEL STAFF TO BANK WITH MICROFINANCE BANK CALLED SAFELINE MICROFINANCE BANK ALLOWING STAFF TO COME FROM ALL ACROSS THE NATION TO RECEIVE THERE SALARIES. A ONCE ACUSTED A STAFF WHO CAME FROM PORTHARCOURT TO CALLED THE SALARIES OF ABOUT 15 STAFF, AMOUNTING TO ABOUT 1..2MILLION NAIRA AND ANY ATTENDANCE TO CHANGE ACCOUNT IS PROVED FUTILE AS THE PRESENT CORPS MARSHALL WILL NOT ALLOW DUE TO PERCENTAGE OF THE SALARIES WILL GO TO HIM. I NEVER KNOW SINCE WHEN THOSE A GOVERNMENT ORGANISATION COMPEL AND PAY IT'S STAFF THROUGH A MICROFINANCE BANK. CAN SOMEONE OUT THERE PLEASE TELL ME?

Can someone who is courageous sercrifice himself/herself for the rest staff and challenge the authority... with fact and figure... if not pls. Stop the rubbish. You pple are coward. Only a man without blemish should respond to me but if you are not clean with little things entrusted to u.. how are we sure you are not going to do worst when u have the opportunity.... its just bcos u are not there today...
