Breaking News: Tension in Anambra as Ex-Governor Obi warns Obiano to stop inciting Anambra against him--------as Pro-APGA youths protest in solidarity to Obiano government and Ojukwu’s grave

www.odogwublog.com reports that there is tension in Anambra now as Governor Willie Obiano
and his predecessor , Chief Peter Obi may clash any moment from now.

Obi alleged the Governor is inciting the people of the state especially youths against his person and political decision .

But Chief Obiano rather said Obi was the one to be asked to leave him alone to administer the state he handed him over to lead with the mandate of the people.

The infighting came about following the protest by hundreds of youths allegedly by sponsored by Obiano’s government and APGA leadership to malign Obi and other PDP chieftains in the state.

Ex-Governor Obi speaking through his media aide asserted Obiano was sponsoring the youths which Obiano’s media aide James Eze refuted and said Obiano was busy flagging off road at Enugu-Ukwu when  the so called protest was on.

Speaking to www.odogwublog.com  on the protest Mr. Valentine Obienyem the media Assistant to Gov. Peter Obi said that ‘’I learnt about the plan for the protest on Sunday, how the Government of Anambra State released 250 million Naira for Mobilization and other logistics. I also learnt that the thinking of Awka is that public opinion, whether genuine or contrived, as in their own case,  has the tendency of influencing justice’’.

Obienyem who regretted what he called the "callous association of Obi's name with rigging", by Anambra State Government, appealed to all men of good will to join voices and call Awka to order.

"The other day, they sponsored two films against Obi and spent over 300 million Naira each on them. Many publications have been sponsored on the media against Obi. The sponsorship of the protest of yesterday is yet among the cocktail of measures  to tarnish Obi's image. Let all men of goodwill join voices in appealing to Awka to stop sounding the toxin of unnecessary fight," Obienyem said.

Concluding, Obienyem reminded those that are throwing darts at Obi that it was by the same magical election formula  that Obi used to put them in office reminding them what the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Barr. Olisa Metuh said of the PDP losing election to Peter Obi and not to APGA per se.

But James Eze , Senior special assistant to Obiano after a hilarious laughter said Obi should be blamed for heating up the polity and not his boss as they are busy working. He even asked Obi to go back to Abuja and play national politics and leave the state for them.
‘’ How can we be sponsoring tension when HE Obiano is the Chief security officer? I don’t know what you want me to say . I think they should leave Obiano alone to work. The Governor is already doing well and they should stop disturbing him to deliver on his promises to Ndi Anambra because he is trying to justify the mandate given to him.
‘’I am taking this call in Enugu-Ukwu where we have gone to flag off roads . How can anyone allege that a Governor of the state is instigating unrest. He is the Chief Security officer of the state . If they are tired of the state , they should go back to Abuja where they are playing National politics. How can he be the one against his state? Thank you!’’

This is coming as about eight (8) pro-All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Igbo youth groups stormed Anambra state earlier yesterday to protest what they tagged rigging of April 28th Presidential and senatorial election by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The youths allegedly marched to Nnewi at the grave side of late Biafran war lord, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu to complain to his grave.

The youths numbering over ten thousand (10,000) include Igbo gadi mma, united Igbo people’s congress, Anambra youth forum, Anambra youth for peace, Anambra traders club, Igbo Youth initiative, Igbo students forum and good governance progressive forum among others.

The leaders of the groups allegedly were comrades Sylvester Emeka, Uche Madugadi, Emmanuel Oliseh, Emeka Okolo, Alloy Obi, Ositadinma Echefuna, Okechukwu Okonkwo and Kingsley John.

They gave out threats on the forthcoming election, but they appeared carrying out a premeditated dummy of some political parties in the state allegedly APGA. They allegedly stormed the homes of PDP Chieftains including Agulu, former Governor Peter Obi’s community, Prince Arthur Eze’s Ukpor community and Nnewi, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah’s area, accusing them of aiding PDP.

According to the groups, “Igbo youths demand now that the Resident electoral commissioner (REC) and field returning officers shall be redeployed by Prof. Attahiru Jega (INEC chairman), they shall not conduct the states assembly election”
“That the Igbo youth have declared that there will be no room for nationally rejected PDP to rig or manipulate the states assembly election this Saturday”
“That the Anambra youths are battle ready to defend and protect our people’s votes and father land from the political criminals and thieves who have no regards for the welfare of Ndi Anambra”
“That we shall never tolerate any plan, agenda or gang-up that will disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in Anambra state created by Governor Willie Obiano”
“That Anambra youth warn some students, Motor Park touts and cultist used as political thugs by Anambra PDP as instrument of election rigging and manipulation to desist from the state assembly election”
“That the state assembly election must be free and fair, let the people’s wish and votes count, we want a very peaceful Anambra state for the sake of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu” they said.
