APGA in Anaocha kicks against INEC, security agencies for aiding and abetting PDP in election manipulation

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Anoacha constituency one and two, saying it does not reflect what happened in the field.

APGA therefore called on INEC to announce its candidates Hon Ejike Okechukwu for constituency 2 and Hon Azubuike Okoye for constituency 1 winners of the election based on results collated at each polling units and ward results which showed APGA won landslide.

APGA rejected any result announced outside what was generated in the polling units recorded by agents of the different political parties. They wondered the essence of the election since the votes of the masses would not count.

Chairman of Anaocha local government area, Hon Ikeobi Ejiofor flanked by the candidate of the party , Hon Ejike Okechukwu for constituency 1 and the Anaocha local government Party Chairman , Sir Erastus Ifeanyi Orji announced this in a press conference yesterday evening at White Castel hotel, Nneni.

He said the announcement of PDP candidates , Charles Ezeani for Anaocha constituency 2 and Francis Okoye for Anaocha constituency 1 as winners of the said election  against results generated in the polling units are anti-democratic and condemnable.

Hon Ejiofor www.odogwublog.com informs decried the collusion of INEC staff and security agencies including the Army, Police and thugs in altering results which were announced at each polling units clearly showing APGA was winning with over 900 votes and over 2,400 votes in constituencies 1 and 2.

He narrated how Army officers molested him at his council area yesterday and placed him under house arrest because he refused to leave his office and appealed for collective effort in saving democracy as the trend ongoing now is undemocratic.

 Contributing , the Anaocha constituency 1 collation agent for APGA in Adazi Ani ward 2 , Hon Ndubuisi Obiadi said the results as announced was a brazen stealing of mandate of the people as APGA won convincingly in all the units in his ward.

He said APGA got 259 votes against PDP’s 186 but rather than announced the results , the collation Officer Chukwudi Onyejekwe padded numbers in the result already declared from polling units and announced that PDP got 1190  and APGA that won now got 186 and described it as a rape on democracy.

He narrated how APGA won on polling unit by poling unit thus brandishing a copy of the results signed by other agents at the polling units.

Obiadi said of the 12 polling units in his ward APGA won 7 and PDP won 4 while they drew one. And he gave the details thus ----Adazi Ani ward 2 code 001---APGA25 and PDP 11; Unit 002 –APGA 19 and PDP 6; Unit 003 APGA -24 and PDP 21; Unit 004APGA 26 and PDP 10 ; Unit 005, APGA 1 and PDP 1; Unit 006 APGA 17 and PDP 25; Unit 007 , APGA 4 and PDP 10; Unit 008 APGA 27 and PDP 34 ; Unit 009 APGA 16 and PDP 7 ; Unit 010 APGA 9 and PDP 12 ; Unit 011, APGA 62 and PDP 29 as well as Unit 012 APGA 29 and PDP 20.

The candidate of APGA for Anaocha 1 , Okechukwu Ejike appealed to INEC to declare him winner having won the election on polling booth results decrying the attitude of the returning officer Dr Pius Okoye declared a PDP candidate winner against the real results generated by the voters and witnessed by agents of all the political parties , describing it as insult on democracy and the intelligence of electorates.

He appealed to his constituents to remain calm as they are following all due process to recover the mandate stolen by PDP in connivance of INEC and police.

The Local Government Party leader , Sir Ifeanyi Orji concurred with the views of Chairman of the local government and candidate of the party referring that what happened in this 2015 elections was what they experienced in 2003. He appealed to INEC to reverse the charade by announcing APGA candidates winner as the results showed APGA won.

Meanwhile the Deputy Chairman of the Anaocha local government area , Comrade Benjamine Ugonna described what he saw in Anaocha constituencies re-run election as a charade , electoral fraud and unprecedented electoral manipulation , adding,’’ there are things that you do you begin to rubbish democracy and all the efforts Prof Attahiru Jega has put in building sustainable democracy where the votes count. How can an election concoction be sustained in this age and time. This will not help the state.

The party concluded that the results announced was given to the Returning Officer from outside the area in connivance with security agents and INEC officials.

The party said it is protesting the results announced as irregularities were glaring at Nri ward 1 and Ichida ward 1 among other wards.
