Updated: Anaocha council Boss, 2 others allegedly kidnapped in Agulu senatorial election



www.odogwublog.com reports that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has alleged that three members of his party were abducted by armed men suspected to be soldiers. 

National Chairman of APGA, Sir Victor Umeh who disclosed this yesterday said Executive Chairman of Anaocha local government area, Hon Ikeobi Ejioffor . He was allegedly kidnapped at Agundu Obeledu in Anaocha council area.
Umeh alleged also that Udo Nri , Mr Egolum , the security boss of Nri was abducted at Ezinano Agulu.
He further alleged that Hon Sylvester Okeke abducted INEC officials at Nkitaku village hall Agulu ward 2. 
Umeh said he is still confidence to win the election but regretted the desperation on the part of the PDP who allegedly attacked strongholds of APGA. 

However, the Nigerian police dismissed the allegation, saying no crisis or abduction was recorded in the state as elections went on smoothly.
 The Police Public Relations Officer , ( PPRO) Uche Ezeh who stated this said explosion was recorded at Central Primary school Awka beside Capital City Secondary school Awka. 
" we have not recorded any crisis. The election went on smoothly.... for now things are moving on fine but the issue of card reader not working created tension........
On the destruction of IPad phone of Uche Kalu of National Light allegedly smashed by Hon Uche Ekwunife"s supporters, she gave her N50,000 to replace the screen of the IPad with apologies. 
And at Nkitaku, Agulu village hall ward 2, Hon Sylvester Okeke, was at the scene but did not want to speak on the allegation since INEC officials were there conducting the polls against what the National Chairman was told. 
The voters at Nri ward 1 , the voters confirmed soldiers invaded the center to whisk Egolum away. 
As well, reports from Ihiala local government indicates that election materials arrived later and card readers failed to operate in some quarters and manual
 method was used. 
Eziani Amamu ward 1, INEC officials did not allegedly release all the papers and the youths got aggrieved when they finally released the papers and smashed the glasses of the ballot boxes. 
At Amanuke in Awka North and some other communities there materials from INEC arrived not quite on time but elections went peacefully through manual accreditation. 
According to the Traditional ruler elect Prince Eze Uba Ezebuilo , the election was peaceful and APGA was leafing as at time of filing this report.
