Tension as Visitation Panel for Anambra state University now Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Varsity and Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe submit report

www.odogwublog.com reports that Governor Willie Obiano has received the Visitation Panel Report on Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli and Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe.

The 8-man panel headed by Prof Ikenna Onyido (FAS) was set up by Governor Obiano on July, 2014 and charged with several responsibilities aimed at improving the condition of the two higher institutions owned by the State.

Receiving the report, governor Obiano promised to “do some surgical transformations in the educational sector to ensure that our students come out not wanting in character and learning”.

Present at the report presentation were, the Deputy-Governor, Dr Nkem Okeke, the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Oseloka Obaze, the Chief of Staff, Prof Joe Asike and Prof Kate Omenugha, Hon Commissioner for Education, among others.
