Peter Obi is one Leader I admire – Archbishop Obinna

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerre yesterday stood for former Governor of Anambra state , Mr Peter Obi, saying he remained the best leader produced in Nigeria.

Archbishop of Owerri, Most Rev. Dr. Anthony Obinna who made the disclosure described Obi who is the Deputy Director General, South of the President Jonathan Campaign Organization, as an epitome of good and purposeful leadership.

Most Reverend Dr Obinna stated this yesterday at St. Kelvin's Catholic Church, Ogbaku, during the requiem mass for the late Mrs Regina Dureke, mother of Lady Vivian Nwandu, Obi’s Special Adviser then on MDG’s.

The Archbishop who eulogized the late Regina for exemplary Christian witnessing, urged Christians to emulate Christ not just in name, but in deeds. He said it was always glorious for people to point out the good work done even when one, like Regina,  was dead.

Commending Mr. Obi, the Archbishop said he had always endeavoured to lead  by example. He especially noted his simple and humble life, saying: "You can see him seated among the people, without security, because as the Governor he served the people and is at home with them."

Speaking to the press after the service, Obi who commiserated with the family of the deceased, said that one of her daughters, Mrs Vivian who was his Permanent Secretary as well as his Special Adviser was one of those that contributed immensely to his success when he was the Governor of Anambra State. He prayed for the repose of Mama's soul.

Asked about the film Anambra State Government and APGA leadership produced and is airing 6 times on the State TV trying to portray him in bad light, Obi said it behooved on people to set their priorities as they wished .
