www.odogwublog.com reports that the former Governor of Anambra State and the Deputy National
Director General of President
Goodluck Jonathan's Campaign group, Mr. Peter Obi
has called on Industrialist in Anambra State to support the candidacy of
president Goodluck Jonathan in the forthcoming election.
He said during an
interactive meeting with them at the Habour Industrial Estate, Onitsha at the
weekend.
Obi who insisted that Jonathan remains the best candidate, said that no
past President had done what Jonathan did in four years. He said that
Jonathan had not only resuscitated dead corporations in the country such as
railway, but was building new ones and expanding the frontiers of the country's
economy. Using agriculture as an example, Obi said that under Jonathan,
Nigeria's food import bill had reduced by 50%.
He reminded workers that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan had
done a lot to reduce their suffering, including the movement from the usual 9
hours to 24 hours operations. Obi who also pointed out many reforms and upgrade
executed in the ports, said that plans had also been concluded to build new
ports to ease the congestion experienced in the old ports.
On the reasons while Jonathan should return, Obi said that he possessed
essential qualities of leadership which, according to him, includes patience,
fairness, sense of justice and integrity among others. He argued that General
Mohammadu Buhari's taunted integrity does not translate into APC's
integrity as, according to him, all those surrounding Buhari cannot be
said to be men of integrity. Obi took the opportunity tt sell the
candidature of Princess Stella Oduah by calling on the people to vote not just
President Goodluck Jonathan, but all those that will work for him.
The various groups thanked Mr. Obi for finding out time to come
and explain to them the reason to support continuity and assured him that they
would not only vote for Jonathan, but will also preach to their families and
friends to do the same
