yesterday mobilized the people of Nnewi North local government area to vote for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2015 General elections.
Prince Nnamso who is the 9th child of a Nigeria's second Senate President during the Nigerian First Republic called on the people of Nnewi and Anambra state at large to vote massively for all the APGA candidates come March 28 and April 11 Presidential and House of Assembly election in all other positions but Presidency where APGA has agreed to vote Jonathan.
He noted that with himself at the House of Representatives, nobody will tell their opponents that Ndigbo have arrived. “We are going to have quality representation. We will ensure truth. Anybody who used Ojukwu’s name to win election and later derail will surely be pursued by the land of Ndigbo”.
His words: “For my people, they should expect a
higher quality of representation. I am not sure that the voice of the Anambra
people is heard sufficiently in the Senate. It is important that we have the
kind of representation that would make the average Anambra person proud”.
“I wasn’t too pleased with the level of
representation that Anambra has had so far. Some of them had tried in the past.
But in the recent past, we think we needed to up the game a bit; that is why I
am offering myself for service because I think I have the background, the
boldness and the readiness. I have the spiritual and physical balance to do a
good job of a senator,” he said.
Politics, he said, is a call for service to
humanity and not what people describe as a dirty game, adding that when
responsible people shy away from politics, the society is left at the mercy of
those who are not there for the people. It is the activities of such
participants that people understudy to call politics a dirty game.
According to him, “It is only when experienced
people get into politics that service is appreciated. That is when we can
clearly understand that it is not even a game let alone being a dirty game.”
For the Commissioner for Information, Culture and
Tourism, Chief Tony Onyima, said that the State Governor has empowered over
3000 youths in Anambra State within 11months in office. He said that the
empowerment ranges from political appointments, employment into the state civil
service as well as other forms of employments to enable youths in the state
channel their strength energy towards meaningful ventures.
He however urged the people of the community to
support the government by voting massively for all APGA candidates in other to
support his government, adding that “the economic renaissance of the South-East
can start in Nnewi if the people get it right politically”.

Anambra state House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwudi Orizu, Chair Lady Anambra state
Education Board, Lady Joy Ulasi, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe Senior Special Assistant
to the Governor on Youth Mobilisation, among others. They all expressed
happiness at the rejuvenation of APGA and called on the members to embrace the
new spirit and work hard for the growth of the party and Ndigbo in general.
