A major glitch occurred at President
Goodluck Jonathan’s polling unit when the card reader failed to work.
Unlike what happened in Daura,
Katsina State where APC Presidential candidate, Gen Muhammadu Buhari was able
to complete his accreditation in under a minute, Jonathan arrived about 9.20am
to do his own only for the system to fail.
As at 9.40 am at the President’s
polling unit 13 in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State,
Jonathan had still yet to be accredited.
From all indications even the back
up card reader failed to work.
According to reports, a fourth card
reader was brought in before everything started working properly.
In the end it took about 30 minutes
for the fourth card reader to finally work and accredit the President.
The President’s wife, Patience and
mother also finally did their accreditation.
