No fewer than 187 pilgrims from Anambra Contingent
had arrived the shores of the country through Akanu Ibiam International Airport
Enugu after 8 days of pilgrimage in Jerusalem reports www.odogwublog.com.
Dr Levi Muonanu while addressing the pilgrims
after arrival said that the spiritual exercise at the holy land was
aimed to encourage Christians in their faith and for them to see for
themselves reality of bible stories
.He said that he hope that they are now
transformed and pray that they should live like people who had gone on a
pilgrimage in other to make a better society
Muonanu , Chairman Anambra State Christian
Pilgrim Welfare Board said that the Easter pilgrimage was not a
shopping spree rather a tool for moral transformation and spiritual rebirth.
He is also the National Vice President of all
chairmen and Sectaries of Christian pilgrim welfare boards in the country ,
said that the Easter pilgrimage was a huge success as all that left the
shores of this country came without absconment.
He disclosed that about 189 intending pilgrims would
soon embark on the trip to conclude the 2014 batch before new forms
for those who wish to visit Jerusalem , Rome and Greece would be on
sale
.Muonanu said that the eight days
marked for the trip was eventful as all programs was touched including
those that went for the Leadership and skill acquisition.
“we perfectly combined the spiritual and physically
aspect of the pilgrimage to yield bigger results as we now have
youth who went to holy land for spiritual transformation and
economic empowerment” he said
He said that these people who had been trained
would be called further to go for more training while they would help to train
other people in area of farming and production of some agricultural product
favorable in the state soil .
Muonanu commended the team medical practitioner
that went on the trip with him , the press and clergy and thanked the governor
for available fund to board on time in order to run the program well.
A pilgrim Mrs Christy Mbonu a Justice of
Anambra State Court in Ekwuluobia said that she has lots of stories to say that
seeing by herself the places read in the bible that still stand to date has
touched her life for good.
Mbonu said that she would use her position to
propagate the gospel more than ever as every conviction of Christ existence had
been seen.

Chukwura a Justice at the Customary Court of Appeal in Awak said that she
was truly thrilled and had lots of experience to share with her people .
Mrs Oby Chika ,one of the pilgrims said that her
joy knows no bound as she has seen for her self reality of the bible and
can confidently said she is transformed and would do her best to radiate
God’s favour to people around her .
The Traditional Ruler of Ezinifite Aguata
Local Government Area Igwe Chukwuma Orji said that the state government has
done noble to give him the chance to witness a life time dream and called on
all Christian to live a worthy life as the stories in the bible was real and
still effective
Orji said that the exercise would surely make great
imparts on the pilgrims as the sites was physically touchy and spiritually
uplifting “ it is a true tool for transformation and spiritual rebirth
Mr Tony Muonagor a state legislator and a pilgrim
commended the state government for sustaining the program and said that the
exercise was not a waste of resources but well channeled .
He said that the new innovation by the commission
to include youth skill acquisition was laudable and urged governments to
empower the people once the are done so as to make meaning out of the whole
efforts
.Dr Uche Okafor a Task force Chairman on
Environment said that he is spiritual strengthen on seeing for himself
the reality of Jesus Christ existence on earth
.
He said that the trip was a laudable exercise and
urged the government to sustain the tempo and called on wealthy people in the
state to join hands in sponsoring more people for the development of Christian
faith and social cleaning .
Reports that the pilgrim welfare in Anambra
left the shores of the country on a pilgrimage for 8 day with 188 intending
pilgrims on March 2 and returned safely on March 10, with 187 as a pilgrim
developed health health issues that led to sending the pilgrim back
earlier.
