PPA Leader, Ezeemo Bags Exemplary Leadership Award---launches back to school campaign initiative

The political leader of the Progressive People’s Alliance (PPA) in Anambra state Mr. Godwin Chukwunenye Ezeemo has been recognized with an Exemplary Leadership and Role Model award by a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) under the auspices of Leadership and Role Model Foundation of Nigeria, reports www.odogwublog.com .

Ezeemo who is the founder Charity Ezeemo Trust for the Less Privileged and Publisher of Orient Magazine/Newspaper and Communications Ltd, was presented the award by the Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman of the foundation, Alh. Dr. Ahmadu Yakubu MFR, represented by the director of operations, Mr. Uche Aguoru.

Presenting the award to Ezeemo at Orient Place Headquarters of Orient Daily newspaper Awka , Alhaji Yakubu said the reason for the recognition was borne out of Ezeemo's selfless services to humanity noting that philanthropic nature of Ezeemo had endeared him to the people's heart.

He further said he knew how hard it was to give out one's hard earned resource to another and was quite impressed with the magnitude of giving spirit exhibited by Mr. Godwin Ezeemo even as he called on all and sundry to emulate the Ezeemo who he described as a genuine philanthropist. 

Responding, after receiving the  certificate and the plaque, Mr. Ezeemo thanked the foundation for the honour done to him and also for recognizing his efforts towards ameliorating the plights of the down-trodden adding that the award would spur him on to do more.

Ezeemo expressed surprised over the way and manner the foundation spotted him out in his country home Umuchu ,Aguata council area of the State where he resides.

He enjoined the foundation to seek out others like him who had  in one way or the other made tremendous contributions towards improving the living standard of average Anambra people and by extension Nigeria.

Meanwhile Ezeemo, at the occasion launched his "Back To School Campaign" which he described as part of his own contribution towards assisting the Anambra State government in its bid to improve the standard of education in the State and also to ensure that every  Anambra child have access to basic education.

He promised to assist in rehabilitation of dilapidated schools and distributing of studying materials like Exercise books to school children. He had been mobilizing pupils for school sports challenge in entire Anambra South senatorial zone especially Old Aguata region.

Earlier in a remark, the State chairman of Progressive People's Alliance (PPA) Chief Mathias Ameke described Ezeemo as dynamic politician who believed that to live in peace, one must work peace noting that  the kind of politics practiced in Nigeria would be likened to Shenanigan, Subterfuge and Sophistry adding that it was people like the Ezeemo that could change the political landscape of Nigeria.

In his words: 'If Ezeemo is at the helm of affairs, there wouldn't have been anything like Boko Haram, 'Chief Ameke said.

Contributing, the chairman Nigeria Union Journalist (NUJ) Anambra State council, Comrade Henry Nwasike represented by his Vice, Comrade Okechukwu Obenta described Mr Ezeemo as second only to God in the hearts of NUJ Anambra State council.

He said the award was well deserved and that NUJ remains ever indebted to him (Ezeemo) for providing shelter for journalists in Anambra amongst many other things.

Also speaking chairman of Correspondents' Chapel, Comrade Emma Ndukuba described Ezeemo as man with many parts and also commended him for his political will and generosity and prayed him to maintain the tempo .

Launching of Ezeemo's Back to School Campaign", Award presentation and refreshment formed the highpoint of the occasion.
