Gunmen
have shot dead a student unionist, Mr. Nfiri Sebastine in Bori, in Khana Local
Government Area of Rivers State.
The
late Sebastine was in the Department of Science Laboratory at the Rivers State
Polytechnic and, also, the financial secretary of the Ogoni Student’s Network
worldwide.

Sun gathered that the victim, who was a part-time Fuel Station attendant, was
shot dead on Saturday evening while discharging his duty at Barry Oil Nigeria
Limited, Bori, by the hoodlums.
Reacting
to the incident, the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP),
has condemned the dastardly act, describing it as unlawful.
MOSOP
spokesman, Bari-ara Kpalap, appealed to security agencies to track down the
perpetrators, stressing that his killing was unjustified.
He
said: “We condemn the dastardly act, which was reported to have been executed
without provocation.
“We
sympathise with the family of the deceased and pray God to give them the
fortitude to bear the irredeemable loss.”
