EXPOSED! HOW APC, BUHARI FOOLED NIGERIANS by Governor Fayose

Leading critic of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose, yesterday put a lie to the claims of the party that its presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, had an interview with ‘All Eyes on Africa Television’ as part of his alleged (current) working visit to London.

APC Presidential Campaign Organisation had on Saturday circulated pictures of Buhari during the purported interview with Kemi Fajodutimi of the All Eyes on Africa TV Show, ostensibly designed to debunk the earlier claims of Governor Fayose that Buhari was undergoing treatment in the United Kingdom, UK.

The controversy took a new twist when Fayose invited journalists to Transcorp Hilton Hotel and Towers, Abuja, where he alleged the picture circulated by the APC was taken.

 In a suite on the 8th floor of the Hotel, Fayose showed journalists an exact duplicate of the room, with same furniture. While displaying the published picture of Buhari purportedly taken in London, Fayose said “they (APC) gave it out as evidence that Buhari is attending conferences in London. I want you to look at this picture, look at the side lamp in Transcorp here. These are the paintings; the beacons from one room to the other are here.

 “Look at this chair very well where General Buhari sat and look at the other chairs here, look at the edge of the chair, look at the flower vase and they say they are in London. This is deceit, is this how to govern Nigeria? This shows the height of desperation. When we talk we talk with facts.

 “Somebody who is telling us change; is this the change? This deception is “change” when you take picture here in Transcorp and you are displaying it all over social media that you are in London” Fayose said.

Governor Fayose said he has nothing personal against Buhari but was of the view that Buhari is too old and frail to be able to withstand the rigours of the office and schedule of President.

He added that some people are pushing Buhari despite his failing health with the aim to take over control of the country by proxy since he (Buhari) will not be able to perform optimally if he is elected president. He said: “This man is sick and in the hospital. This is not personal. If this country wants to elect a leader, our leaders should be bold enough to give us their health certificates like advanced countries of the world.” He continued: “I didn’t want to say this at a press conference that is why I said pressmen should come here to see this deception for themselves. This is General Buhari in Transcorp claiming to be in London. You want to imagine and look back at how many lies they have told Nigerians. We should stop deceiving Nigerians. Nobody can become the president of Nigeria on the strength of lies, deceptions and hypocrisy. “I am telling all Nigerians that General Buhari is not holding any meeting in London, he is on a sick bed in Cavendish Street, Cavendish Square, West End, W2, London.

 “They (APC) should come out and confess to Nigerians the state of Buhari’s health. This (picture) is not a good response to my statement of fact that General Buhari is sick. They have been trying to cover this by not wanting him to travel but if the man knows his health is badly challenged he has to look for a way to run away.

 “This is not personal, I am not against the North, I am not against the South, I am saying Nigerians must be given opportunity to elect a president that will endure, a healthy person that will lead the country aright.” “I want you to look at this picture, look at the side lamp in Transcorp here.
