Breaking News: ‘’I Wont Resign ‘, says Jega as election postponed to 28th March and 11th April to save 600,000 Corps members Adhoc staff, others ; Jega bows out June 30th as INEC boss

www.odogwublog.com reports that Prof Attahiru Jega stepped into the hall to address the world press by 10: 45 pm. He read his paper over 1 hour before questions that lasted for over 1 hour again with questions flying to Jega. The brief ended 11:45 pm

Jega promptly said when his tenure of office would end, ‘’My tenure would end God’s willing June 30^th, 2015 ...’’

 Elections have been postponed for 6 weeks March 28^th and April 11^th and that would be final shift to ensure 30 days grace period before hand over on 29^th May , 2015.

He said the shift was based on new security challenges in the North East to give room for security people to ensure security is guaranteed and PVC distributed more to reach others. 96 percent have been distributed to the states but 56 percent were collected not fault of INEC.

And o the question on the call for his resignation because he is bias, Prof Jega said he has never met any opposition candidate of anybody to discuss how to rig the election in favour of anybody as he is in INEC to do his best for the country.

Jega said, ‘’rather than meet opposition or anybody for the purpose of winning election , I will rather resign. Jega said if there is any reason for him to resign that he would do that without hesitation.

Unfortunately the media caries it and if not for the burden of job , I would have gone to court to challenge it and if not proved , they will pay me damages.

‘’This extension now gives us an opportunity to reach out to those who have not collected PVC and commended Nigerians and International community for their show of understanding in deepening Nigeria’s democracy.

‘’Strong Advice of the security chief is that total military operation is going on in the North East and would not finish before the Saturday, so to ensure security of our staff and over 600,000 adhoc staff we agreed with them .

‘’we hope and pray to God that there would be no other shift , so that the election would hold on the 28^th March and 4^Th April .....rather than do an inconclusive election we rather wait and do a proper election that would end in one ballot .......sensitive materials are secured in Airport by the Air force and in the CBN and would not be opened until party agents are around and it would be certified by the party officials .....
