Breaking news: APGA women condemn Attack on Obiano, Umeh , appeal for forgiveness

Anambra state women yesterday described the attack on Governor Willie Obiano and the Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) , chief Victor Umeh and other party leaders as unwarranted and uncalled for reports www.odogwublog.com exclusively.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ,State women Leader, Hon Lady Chinyere Ibenta made the views of women in the state known while www.odogwublog.com  today in Awka.

Lady Ibenta condemned in strong terms the ambush of the Governor Willie Obiano’s convoy in company of National Chairman of APGA , Chief Victor Umeh and their entourage by a sect of miscreants in Agulu community, Anaocha local government area Anambra state, destroying vehicles and injuring many.

Lady Ibenta lamented what happened in Agulu and assured that such would not happen again or the group will attract the wrath of women in the state, while appealing to the Anambra first lady, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano to intervene on behalf of the miscreants for the Governor and Umeh to forgive them.

The Anambra state APGA Woman Leader in a press statement stated that :‘’We are condemning the act of the miscreants for stoning the Governor and the APGA National chairman. It was unthinkable and unimaginable that a Governor of a state after addressing a community on his way home should be attacked , thrown stones and sachet water …….it won’t happen again . If this happens again , we would deal with them our own way as women’’.

‘’ this is an insult on the number one citizen of this state , Governor Willie Obiano and wife Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, (Osodieme) as well as the National Chairman of our great party , the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Sir Victor Umeh.

‘’I condemn it entirely and women in Anambra condemn it as well as APGA women. It is rascality of the highest order and we cannot condone such hooliganism and disrespect again. How can decent people behave like that?

‘’We apologize to our first lady and urge her to intervene in appeasing our governor/ BOT Chairman and our national party Chairman to forgive the miscreants in the spirit of Valentine and God’s preaching to us as Christians but we assure him that such stupidity would not happen again.

‘’How can miscreants start attacking the Governor and the party Chairman with other party leaders after they had addressed the people of Agulu community, throwing stones and pure water to the extent of destroying vehicles and wounding individuals. 

‘’A Governor that has turned Anambra around and has turned things in the positive way, a governor with listening ears , we cried as women and vowed such a thing would not happen again and those behind it should never think in that direction again or we show them the stuff we are made of.

‘’Anambra is not known for this kind of rascality and our youths should never think in this direction again. We ask Mama Anambra to forgive them and appeal on their behalf from the daddy of Anambra and our national chairman because we as women will ensure such a thing never happens again.

‘’I cant think of any Governor that changed the face of Anambra in one year with insecurity being a thing of the past.  No robbery incident,  no kidnapping during the last yuletide…..
