www.odogwublog.com reports that the
Board of Trustees (BoT) of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) yesterday
reassured President Goodluck Jonathan of 100 per cent en bloc vote from the
South-East come Feb. 14.
A member of APGA BoT, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, told newsmen in Onitsha, Anambra
that the party and other progressives had vowed to retain Mr President so that
he would finish his laudable people-oriented programmes.Ezeonwuka said that the party had already started massive grassroots campaign for Mr President re-election and other APGA candidates in the governorship, senate, Federal and state representative seats in the South-East states.
He noted that APGA grassroots reach in the zone is unbeatable; adding that on Feb. 14, no eligible voter would be allowed to sit at home without been persuaded to vote for Mr President and APGA candidates.
``I have said it times without number that anybody APGA has picked as its presidential candidate, just as we have picked President Jonathan again, has already won in the South-East following APGA endorsement alone.
``Our people down here in the South-East had already surrendered their political future to APGA and we are leading them in the right direction to get does things which rightfully belong to us in the Nigerian nation.
``President Jonathan should be rest assured that we would deliver 100 per cent en bloc vote for him come Feb. 14.
``No Jupiter would stop that and we are already doing the needful by going house-to-house in every locality in the South-East to achieve our target,’’ he said.
Ezeonwuka, who is also the Ogirisi of Igbo land (spiritual leader of Igbo land), noted that President Jonathan had laid many solid foundations in various sectors of the economy, which some of them are gradually yield fruits.
``Look at the records, no other president in the history of Nigeria had lifted agriculture, aviation, commerce and industry, power and education to the present height they are now before in the country.
``Currently, we are the largest economy in Africa, with no rival and our Gross domestic Product (GDP) keeps expanding virtually on monthly basis.
``Jonathan has also done well in promotion of neglected sectors of the economy such as tourism, hospitality, entertainment and promotion of indigenous cultures for them to be source of employment and foreign exchange earners,’’ he noted.
