WIVES ON RAMPAGE IN ANAMBRA AS ONE SLEEPS WITH WIFE’S MOTHER

Monday was doomsday for the Okechukwu family in Uruagu, Nnewi. It was a day of gory tales marked by the acts of a wife from hell. It was a day that raised all manner of issues and pertinent concern.

The question that was on the lips of several people was what prompted a woman to pour hot water on her wedded husband. It was around 8:30am on Monday morning, the 10th day of November when a middle aged woman, Mrs. Amaka Agba who hails from Ezah in Ebonyi State poured steaming hot water on her husband, Mr. Okechukwu Agba.

The incident which took place at Akaboukwu axis of Uruagu, Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of the State attracted the attention of the neighborhood when the husband, Mr. Okechukwu started shouting that early morning which made the people around the environs to start knocking at their door until Mrs. Amaka opened the door and they saw the husband rolling on the bare floor naked and was shouting.

The reason for the ugly incident was not ascertained because both the husband and wife refused to talk to anybody until the arrival of a troop of operatives of the Anambra Vigilante Service (AVS) and the National Light newspaper. Then, Mrs. Amaka opened up to tell what happened amidst tears.

Her words: “I got married to Okechukwu in 2011 but since our three years of marriage what I have been encountering from him was total disappointment and cheating. First, was in 2013 when I caught him with my bossom friend in our bedroom. He later pleaded with me and we resolved the matter.

“The second and the most annoying encounter was the atrocity he committed with my own mother which made me to disown my mother till date. On March this year when I gave birth to my second issue, my mother came to visit me. That faithful day, I went to Wednesday prayer which was supposed to close by 6pm. But because I was not feeling fine I decided to return home by 1pm. Then behold I met my husband with my own mother in our matrimonial bed making love.

“The matter was later settled within our family because it is not good for a person to expose herself. But since then I have been seeing my husband as a beast and my passion for him is no more. That's why I don't know what pushed me this morning to do what I just did”.

Meanwhile, in Ogidi, Anambra State, Police nabbed a woman for bathing her husband in acid. The man, Christian Eze, reportedly caught his wife discussing with some boys suspected to be her boyfriends down their steps after they called her out on phone.

Christian was said to have made his presence known and begged the boys to leave his wife alone. The action reportedly angered the wife, Mabel, so much that she planned to deal with her husband and waited for him at the doorstep and poured acid on him immediately he stepped out the following day for his business trip.

While Mabel is still being grilled by the police in Ogidi, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), who confirmed her arrest described the act as barbaric. Police sources also disclosed that the suspect had planned the action for the previous night but could not execute it same day as her husband reportedly shut his door, while going to bed.
