PDP/APGA: Group Cautions Ambassador Ojukwu on utterances against Obi

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain and wife of Igbo leader, Mrs Bianca Ojukwu’s alleged uncomplimentary remarks against the former Governor of Anambra state, Chief Peter Obi has come under criticism by the National Youths Vanguard of the Peoples Democratic Party, Anambra state chapter.

The chairman of the group, Comrade Ikenna Ubah who spoke with journalists yesterday in Awka said that the utterances of the Ambassador were unbecoming of a personality of her caliber and office.

He pointed out that freedom of association is sacrosanct in the constitution and that the outcry about the political moves of the former governor is unnecessary and un-called for as he is not the first person to move from one political party to the other.

He commended Chief Peter Obi for heeding the calls of many patriotic Nigerians, particularly those of officers of the party who passionately appealed to him to decamp to PDP ,describing him as a trust worthy leader who has never disappointed the Igbos since he accepted to responsibility placed on his shoulder

The group also endorsed the Prince Ken Emeakayi's led executive council of the Peoples Democratic Party in Anambra state who they noted has won more elections for the party than any of his predecessors.

Comrade Ubah stressed the need for Prince Kenneth Emeakayi to continue to pilot the affairs of the party in the state for the purpose of continuity and consolidation most especially for the purposes of successful outing for the party  during the National Assembly and the state Assembly elections

Ubah also endorsed the candidature of Dr Goodluck Jonathan for presidency for the 2015 general elections pointing out that there is no vacancy in Aso Rock till 2019 pointing out that their grass root structure in the state and beyond will be instrumental to his victory and that of the party in the forth coming elections.

They also commended the patronage and philanthropy of Engr. Arthur Eze to the party for the victory of President Goodluck Jonathan and Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming general elections.
