2015 : Aspirants Rush For APGA Nomination Form In Anambra

There is mad rush for the picking of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, nomination form at its party office in Awka, the Anambra state capital on daily basis by political office seekers.

As at weekend over 15 aspirants that picked their forms hinted that the rush was sequel to the achievements of the party in the state.


According to one of the aspirants who is contesting to represent Orumba North and South in the Federal House of Representatives, Dr Hygers Ifeanyi Igwebuike, from UMUOMAKU community, APGA is a houshold name that is a platform for the Igbo man to climb to grace.

His words shortly after picking his normination form was, I came out to pick APGA nomination form because those who represented the area failed because they came from other parties that did not carry the interest of their people at heart

"There was no federal presence in the constituency because there was no proper representation by those elected to server the people".

"APGA is for proper representation and we see it as the Igbo party because every tribe has a political platform under which it operaes" 


“I have not been to the National Assembly but As an APGA member I have been able to rehabilitate some roade in my constituency in line with Gov. Willie Obiano's efforts to develop the state ".


"The APGA led state government is not leaving anything unturned in its efforts to move the state foword."

“Because of this everybody wants to associate with  the party. I have served the military for 18 years and I retired as a captain to continue to serve my people and with my experience I know how best to serve the people".


He stressed the need for all season farming to help boost agricultural produce hinting that his area is more of farmers that could feed the state if giving the enabling environment.

Also speaking after collecting his nomination form, the former deputy Governor in the state, Chief Okay Udehwho is contesting for senate in Anambra south district said APGA was a platform for victory.

Professor Emeka J Okoli, who is contesting for House of Representatives also in the area said that APGA was on ground in the state.

In the words of The APGA state chairman, Chief Mike Kwentor, " they kwow that once you become APGA candidate you have won the general election because we are on ground."
