Hon Azubuogu Is Misrepresenting Us, Cries Nnewi Youths; Begs Hon Oforma To Run For Reps

                                         
Hon Chris Emeka Ifeanyi Azubuogu is in trouble now following the call by Youths from Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Local Governments that make up the Nnewi Federal Constituency under the aegis of Nnewi Youths Coalition on Hon Julius Oforma to run for the House of Representatives in the forthcoming general elections.
The youths apparently accused Azubuogu of misrepresentation having said the constituency lacks representation in the past years. This is a trial tiem for the Azubuogu as the youths meant serious business. They vowed to chase him out with their votes.
The call, according to the chairman of NYC Mr Obi Nnoruka, became necessary as a result of misrepresentation the youths of the constituency have witnessed over the past 15 years of democratic rule in Nigeria.
“We are calling on Sir Julius Oforma to offer himself for election into the House of Reps as a matter of interest to our constituency, the youths and the aged who are yet to feel the impact of representation over the past years,” said Nnoruka.
The coalition of youths from various youth groups in the three local governments met at Nnewi Youth league Hall where they outlined their objectives and interest as the elections 2015 draw closer.
The group identified Oforma as one who will perform and bring government closer to the grassroots having seen his antecedent as a philanthropist, educationist and a loyal party man.
“Having seen his charitable and economic input into the constituency over the past decade, we have the belief he will do more for the constituency especially in bringing government closer to us and empowering more youth as against the individualistic presentation we’ve witnessed in recent times,” Nnoruka said.
To this end, he said the coalition will seek audience with Oforma to inform him of the youth’s intention and start group mobilization and sensitization on the need to have Oforma at the House of Representatives in 2015.
