FIFA Shortlists Nigeria's Dedevbo For Coach Of The Year Award



                  
Nigeria U-20 W o m e n ’ s team(Falconets) Chief Coach, Peter Dedevbo has been named as a contender for the FIFA World Coach of the Year Award.

The Canada 2014 World Cup Silver winning Coach, is among the 10 coaches shortlisted by World foot­ball ruling body for the coach of the year for Wom­en’s Football 2014.
Dedevbo, the only Af­rican tactician named in the list, will battle national team coaches, Philippe Bergeroo of France, Laura Harvey of England, Germa­ny’s Ralf Kellermann and Norio Sasaki of Japan for the prestigious diadem.
Other national team coaches shortlisted for the award includes; Germany’s U-20 national team Coach, Maren Meinert, Pia Sund­hage of Sweden, Asako Takemoto Takakura of Ja­pan, Jorge Vilda of Sapin and Martina Voss Tecklen­burg who is in charge of Germany and Switzerland national teams.
Meanwhile, Abby Wam­bach of USA, Nadine An­gerer of Germany , Veronica Boquete from Spain , Japa­nese Aya Miyama and Bra­zil’s Marta has been short­listed for the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2014.
Also mentioned in the Women’s shortlists are Na­dine Kessler of Germany, Nilla Fischer from Sweden, France’s Loiusa Necib and Sweden’s Lotta Schelin.
