Ekwunife Wants Peace In Anambra PDP To Upstage APGA In 2015, Say There Is No Alternative To President Jonathan-Ekwunife

Anambra Central Senator in the waiting  and member representing Anaocha/Dunukofia/Njikoka federal constituency, Chief Mrs Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) has called for unity in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra state to enable the party upstage the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2015 General election reports odogwuemekaodogwu.blogspot.com.

Ekwunife also said that there is no alternative to President Goodluck Jonathan as President of Nigeria in the coming presidential election, adding that Nigeria has never witnessed aggressive development and transformation it is witnessing under the administration of President Jonathan.

Addressing party stakeholders at the PDP state secretariat, Awka during a special prayer session organized by the party, Mrs. Ekwunife called on Nigerians to give him second chance to complete his transformational agenda for the country.

Mrs. Ekwunife also harped on the need for members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Anambra state to come together as one indivisible entity to win all the elective positions in the coming general elections.

“There is need for PDP in Anambra to unite against all odds and make sure we give President Goodluck Jonathan 100 percent vote because there is no alternative to President Jonathan. He is N0 1, No2 even No 100 and continues like that, we will be doing ourselves great injustice if we allow personal ego and resentment to continue to cause trouble and division between us"

At Adazi Nnukwu where Mrs. Ekwunfe was received by an unprecedented crowd she said she left the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA back to PDP to reposition the party and place it on the pedestal to win elections.

“I am here today to officially meet with all the PDP stakeholders in the senatorial zone starting from my immediate local government, Anaocha council area to brief you that I have left APGA back to PDP to reposition the party to be able to win elections and also the need to canvass for votes for President Jonathan in 2015 general election”

She said that she left APGA with all the party structures including seven serving councilors elected on the platform of APGA and all APGA council and ward chairmen to PDP, adding “I am coming from a very advantageous position, having been in control of APGA structure in the entire federal constituency, I want to tell you that as I moved, I moved with all my structures including all the council and ward chairmen of APGA and seven serving councilors elected on APGA platform, but I want PDP to lead my campaign because am running on the platform of PDP”

The State chairman of PDP, Anambra state chapter, Mr. Ken Emeakayi while welcoming Mrs. Uche Ekwunife and her entourage at the party secretariat, Awka described her as a great woman with vision for the party and assured that the party shall be transparent in all its activities concerning the primary elections in the state.

Mr. Emeakayi said the party has been strengthened further and united for the purpose of winning all the elective positions in the state as part of efforts and moved being intensified to recapture the state from All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
