Anambra Lawmaker Hon Prince Chito Modestus Empowers 300 Market Women

                     
Guided by his electoral promises in 2011, the lawmaker representing Ihiala 1 state constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly Hon.Prince Chito Modestus Ohazuluike Tokas has empowered over 300 hundred market women in his constituency .

The lawmaker who said that his primary responsibility was the welfare and well-being of  his people in Ihiala local government area , had emphasized that  rather than hoard constituency funds to impoverish the people as most politicians would do , he believed that using such funds to better the lives of the people as well as alleviate their sufferings was most paramount.

Hon.Ohazuluike who gave a run-down of his constituency activities to journalists in Awka yesterday ,  was of the opinion that seeking the people's mandate to represent them at any level of governance was not the issue but the issue according to him was the fulfillment and actualization of the people's collective will and aspiration  adding that the people should be uppermost in the scale of preference .

He further explained that since his election into the state house of assembly in 2011 , judicious utilization of constituency allocations have been his guiding principle .

Hon.Ohazuluike said that virtually all the wards , villages and communities comprising Ihiala 1 state constituency have had fair share of constituency projects sited in their respective domains .

Apart from the business of lawmaking and routine over-sight functions , the lawmaker reeled out some projects executed and on-going in Ihiala 1 state constituency .

According to him , in Ogboro ward , he donated school chairs and desks to Ubahuekwem Central School . He said he  was moved by pity when he saw pupils in the aforesaid school sitting and studying on bare floor during an unscheduled visit to the school .

The lawmaker also disclosed that the provision of constant electricity supply to his people was most paramount .

 To this end , he single-evenhandedly shouldered the responsibility of paying accumulated electricity bills in some communities in Ubahuekwem axis of his constituency . He said the aforementioned measure emancipated a lot of communities from perennial power problems .

Ohazuluike who is also the chairman house committee on agriculture and rural development in the Anambra state house of assembly , further disclosed that his constituency activities took him to Uli axis where he empowered some women at Eke-agbaba market with financial grants to boost their trade . Apart from the financial aids , he equally paid security levies for traders in the market .

The next port of call according to the lawmaker was the Amorka axis of his constituency where he said many traders have benefitted and are still benefiting from his financial empowerment schemes geared towards alleviating the sufferings of his people in Ihiala 1 state constituency .

He said '' I still owe my people one year and within that one year , i will be doing whatever I have to do to make my people happy.When the election comes , it will take care of itself .For now I still remain the hournable member representing Ihiala constituency 1... ''
