Prof Ahaneku said: "I commend the departmental team for this massive success, the HOD Dr. Dunu and Prof. Stella Okunna who also motivated and stimulated this great project".

"For in this institution, we must provide the necessary facilities for our students to study properly. As communicators, they have identified their Auditorium as an essential facility and refurbish the Auditorium. I know that what they have done today is to lay a great foundation for good learning in the department and for the Mass Communication students".

He further appealed to other departments in the institution to emulate the good idea initiated by the Mass Communication department to help and build a conducive environment for the students of the university.

Hear Prof Ahaneku: "Am calling on all other departments in this institution and other education sectors to cue in this kind of concept, here we try to do things by ourselves. Helping ourselves and that is the spirit to go with in this country. In all the departments in this great institution, department of Mass Communication have demonstrated and shown their commitment in transforming this institution to a great citadel of learning"

“We have a lot of work to do. We will all harness the good ideas for all of us and call on the Holy Spirit to guide us aright in order to pick those elements that will cause us to arise and reach our desired destination that will take us to
that position and level we’ve been praying for. This university is already great, because it is named after Zik of Africa and we have to take it to greater heights,” he said.
