Odogwuemekaodogwu.blogspot.com today ran into graduating students of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences Nnamdi Azikiwe University today about 1 pm.

This man you are looking at with Blaze inscription on his T shirt is an Army Officer on mufti while others were on uniform. The one in mufti graduated today and his friends probably were there to celebrate with him. They rolled him severally on the ground even inside the dirty flood water as well as inside the boot of their car to the admiration of other students.

My mind drifted and I saw other students from the same department busy pouring water and all kinds of things on themselves . They were running helter scalter even disturbing other passers bye even pouring water even though mistakenly inside other people’s vehicles.

And suddenly again my attention caught some officers with canes and were ready to unleash an onslaught on somebody.

I looked and decided to ignore them but suddenly they all started rushing in a direction towards me. I had to stop and became combatant in case I was the target. I was ready to pull the strings and ensure one is down before they beat me up for doing nothing but alas I was wrong.

They rushed a young man who I was later told was an Army officer who just graduated. They did all kinds of things to him but he never complained , he was busy obeying orders from his men .

The course Rep of the graduating students Moses Enyinnaya could not be reached but a course mate of the Army officer also graduating , Ogbunyiba Benjamin told me they were just celebrating their graduation as they wrote their final examination.

‘’We are celebrating and there is no other way to inform the institution community that we have written our final examination than this and we are just celebrating and nothing else… …. We have finished our final examination ‘’.

Indeed what a celebration as I left the scene since the Army man warned me not to take further shot of their activities as they were having fun. It was indeed fun but I did not wait to know if they would buy champagne for all the students enthusiastically enjoying what they were doing and hailing them ………………..
