Ebola Scare Hits Awka , Nise , Unizik Bank ,Anambra State

                           

There was tension in Awka and environs about Ebola as Access Bank Unizik branch insists everybody coming in must wash his or her hands and sterilize before going into the bank, reports odogwuemekaodogwu.com

At Regina Caeli, Awka at about 11.25 am to about 3 pm according an eye witness Odera Igbo , the matron was telling the security guards to lock down the hospital to avoid people going out and coming in.

According to him , he said so many version of stories emerged, some said a corpse was brought to the hospital and was identified to come from EBOLA STRONG HOLD, another version said that it was the federal ministry of health that sent an Ebola corpse to the hospital mortuary .

Then further investigation carried out by us revealed that a lady from Ogbunike who came back to her home town from Liberia ,but the Igwe of the town refused her entry unless she get certified as EBOLA FREE , so when she stepped into the hospital and narrated what brought her ,all the doctors disappeared and for over 4 hours they refused to attend to anybody ,only the matron was bold and motherly enough to appeal to distraught-ed patients.

As at 3 pm , only one Doctor one Consultant and the matron was attending to people other Doctors refused to near the hall or consultation rooms.

This reporter did not wait around to know if it was a hoax or real.

At Nise , a woman married to Ekwulobia allegedly was asked to pack and go because of her sickness which her husband’s kinsmen described as Ebola symptoms and she came home to her parents at Nise weeping up sentiment but rather than sympathizer with her they turned against her to go home to her husband until she is certified free .
