Many Feared Killed As Fourth Female Suicide Bomber Attacks Kano Polytechnic

 

Odogwuemekaodogwu.blogspot.com reports that a fourth female suicide bomber this afternoon blew herself up at Kano Polytechnic while students were checking their results in the school.

Odogwuemekaodogwu.blogspot.com could not ascertain the number of casualties as at press time even though 6 persons have been confirmed dead.

 The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the blast in the school.

 “At about 2.30 pm (1330 GMT), another female suicide bomber exploded an improvised explosive device at the Kano State polytechnic… Six persons were killed,” government spokesman Mike Omeri said in a statement.

Kano state Police Commissioner Adenrele Shinaba confirmed the blast, noting that a young female dress in dark hijab rammed into scores of graduating students who were checking their NYSC posting list and detonated a bomb, killing herself and two others. 10 persons were also said to have been injured.
Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, Magaji Majiya also confirmed the bomb blast, saying it took place at the Central Administration building of the polytechnic.
