100 Days In Office: Obiano, Not A Sectional Governor, Says Mbuze…Dispels Allegations of Nepotism

Odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that as Anambra governor Willie Obiano marks his first 100 days in office his senior special assistant on inter party and political affairs Hon Ben Mbuze Obi says the governor has displayed tendencies that prove he is the father of all Anambrarians rather than a sectional governor.

Odogwuemekaodogwu.com brings you report of Jude Atupulazi as he writes that despite what many people see as
encouraging steps taken by Obiano since assuming office in March this year,
especially in the key area of security, he has come in for criticism in some
quarters for leaning more towards his Anambra North people in the area of
political appointments and projects.

But speaking to Fides in his
office in Awka Ben Obi described such notions as ridiculous and something that
could only emanate from the enemy camp. According to Obi popularly known as
Mbuze the governor had performed very well and all his appointments had equally
been balanced.

'If he's a sectional governor
what would I be doing here as an Agulu man? There are countless numbers of
people from other zones who are not from Anambra North in Obiano's
administration. This tale must be coming from detractors and I advise the
governor not to pay heed to such idle talk,' Mbuze stated, noting that it was
too early in the day to start levelling such accusations against Obiano.

On the governor's performance in
his first 100 days in office Mbuze described it as fantastic, pointing out that
Obiano had created the record in Nigeria as the governor who had taken off the
fastest after assuming office.

'Obiano has taken off very fast.
No governor, I repeat, no governor in Nigeria has taken off this fast; not even
his predecessor, Peter Obi. People should not distract our governor,' Mbuze
warned.

He also expressed delight with
the activities and disposition of the governor's wife whom he said had made
herself very accessible by opening an office. He commended her for having a
listening ear and for making herself available to the poor; a disposition he
said had made her the mother of every Anambrarian.

In the aftermath of the
governor's tribunal victory Mbuze called on the people of the state to bury the
hatchet and join hands with the governor to take the state to the next level,
noting that the governor was ready to carry everyone along.

Mbuze cited the recent
stakeholders' meeting convened by the governor to chart the way forward for the
state as proof of the governor's readiness to work with everybody. He also
hailed Obiano on his security initiatives which included his support to the
police all geared towards making Anambra safe for the people.

On Obiano's agricultural
programme Mbuze said very soon the scheme would be kick-started under which
many people would be trained.  He
therefore called on the people of the state to rally round the governor so that
he would sustain the tempo.
